Workouts for Goddess Games 2019

 

“Goddess Games Total Take 2”

This workout was for our individual competitors last year so let’s see what our teams can do with it!

Teams will have 15 minutes to find a 1 rep max for Power Clean, Front Squat, and Shoulder to Overhead. Both athletes will do each lift and combine the total weight for a score.

One barbell, one set of weights, and one athlete will work at a time. Front Squat and Shoulder to Overhead can come from the rack. Shoulder to Overhead must be from a front rack position to overhead – no behind the neck to overhead. Lifts may be completed in any order.

**Because the Novice division includes those needing considerations, we can accommodate any athlete wanting to participate with adjustments to movements. Please contact Candice@wonderpromotionsandevents.come for arrangements.

“Amanda K”

Named in honor of Amanda Kloo, a long time Goddess Games competitor and Spirit award winner. She’s a fighter and never backs down from a challenge. To learn more about this amazing woman, look for our social media post later this week.

Each athlete will run 400m consecutively and the score will be the total time for the 800m. This will be Score A for this workout.

While each athlete is running, the other athlete is skiing on the erg. Score B for this workout will be the total meters skied in the time it takes the team to run 800m.

“Claudia”

Named in honor of Claudia Clayton, a Goddess Games team competitor and volunteer and all around incredible woman. Claudia had a huge heart and gave so much love and compassion to her family, friends, and community. Her 1000 watt smile and dance moves will be missed at this year’s competition, but her presence will continue be felt in all the lives she touched. We’ll highlight Claudia in a social media post later this week.

Scaled: Wall Balls 12# to 9ft target and American Kettlebell Swings 16kg and *Row 40 Calories in between sets and at the end

Scaled Masters: Wall Balls 12# to 9ft target and Russian Kettlebell Swings 16kg and *Row 40 Calories in between sets and at the end

Novice: Wall Balls 10# to a 9ft target and Russian Kettlebell Swings 10kg  and *Row 40 Calories in between sets and at the end

One person works at a time and divides the work as needed. Score will be the time to complete the workout. 15 min time cap.

“Maegan”

Named in honor of Maegan Miller, a tenacious competitor at Goddess Games and in life.  She continues to be a role model for her daughter and for all those in pursuit of their dreams. More info on Maegan will be coming on social media.

One athlete will complete a full round and then the other athlete will complete a full round. Athletes will continue to alternate rounds until 10 rounds are completed, 5 rounds for each athlete. Score will be the total time is takes the team to complete 10 rounds. 15 min time cap.
