Project name:

Gladiator Games 2016

Project description:

Gladiator Games was held at CrossFit Cabarrus on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  This was a men’s only competition for  2 person teams in Scaled and Rx Divisions.  This event raised money and awareness for the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Charlotte Rescue Mission is transforming lives in the name of Christ by serving people struggling with addiction, poverty, or hopelessness with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.  Using the Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous twelve-step recovery model, they treat the whole person by addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each resident.  Their long-term residential recovery programs are free of charge. They have been serving the Charlotte Community for 78 years.

In 2016, Rebound included a functional fitness program as part of their rehabilitation program.  Many CrossFit coaches from the Charlotte area community have had the honor of coaching these men in the program as they use fitness as a tool to work towards their goal of healing and recovery.
